Vela Charter is Andaman Signature's largest and most versatile sailing catamaran — a 62ft wide-beam vessel purpose-built for groups who want a genuine event experience on the water. With capacity for 50 guests and four dedicated crew members, Vela operates at a level of service that transforms a boat charter into a floating private venue.
Unlike tour catamarans that cycle through the same passengers daily, Vela is a directly-owned Andaman Signature vessel. The same four-person crew maintain, operate, and host every charter — they know the boat inside out and the Andaman routes intimately.
Vela's interior saloon is the heart of the charter experience. The curved U-shaped banquette seats up to 20 guests around the central dining table — fully configured for sit-down celebrations, birthday dinners, and cocktail receptions. The saloon features Andaman Signature branded cushions, a dedicated bar station, and panoramic porthole windows framing the passing seascape.
The integrated navigation station is positioned at the rear of the saloon — guests can watch the captain work the chartplotter and VHF radio while remaining comfortable in the air-conditioned interior. It adds an authentic maritime atmosphere that no land venue can provide.
Forward of the saloon, Vela's large bow trampoline net provides a unique outdoor lounge experience — guests lie suspended above the open Andaman water, watching the hull slice through the turquoise sea below. Cushioned deck loungers extend on both sides for those who prefer a firmer surface under the sun.
The stern deck hosts an outdoor dining and service area where the crew conduct drinks service and canapé passing during cruising. This creates a natural flow between the outdoor stern, interior saloon, and forward trampoline — ideal for groups who want movement and variety throughout a long charter day.
Vela's stern design includes a dedicated fishing platform — one of the few catamarans in the Phuket fleet with proper rod holders and space for serious angling at anchor. The fishing-at-sunset experience aboard Vela has become one of our most requested add-ons for groups who want to round out a full-day island charter with a golden-hour fishing session before the return passage.
Full onboard cake service, champagne setup, Bluetooth playlist, and surprise decoration runs by our crew. The saloon transforms into a private party venue with panoramic Andaman Sea views as the backdrop.
50-person capacity makes Vela the only vessel in the fleet capable of hosting an entire mid-size company team in one charter. The saloon provides a semi-formal setting for briefings or award presentations mid-voyage.
